for scuba diving
Dive only when in perfect shape mentally and physically.
Have a full medical check-up at least once a year, and take a
course for a diving-certificate with a professional institution.
Only dive at least four hours after your last meal.
Personally check whether the diving equipment is in excellent
conditions, whether the oxygen tanks have been tested, and whether
the two distributors are made be a specialized company.
Check whether your equipment is complete ( tables for decompression
and sub computer, depth-meter, knife and an adjustable vest ) before
diving.
Don´t dive beyond 30 m of depth without assistance, and
if you skip steps in decompression, take a pause of 5 minutes at
3 m of depth.
Dive in the company of another expert diver, and keep an eye on
eachother constantly.
Inform family or friends of the location of diving, and of the
time of return as well.
Plan your dive according to the timetables for decompression and
use the right breathing techniques.
When diving indicate the spot with an underwater buoy ( and stay
within 50 m from it) and if possible arrange the accompaniment
of a divers’ vessel with divers’ flaf exposed and at
least one person aboard who is able to intervene.
When going uo to the surface, do not overtake the bubbles you
exhale.
